It's about them wanting to be together, and things. and that breakups are hard and stuff, so "two is better than one" meaning, it's better to have someone to lean on or someone to just have around, instead of being "one" or alone, being all lonely and having no one close.

it means that you can be afraid to love someone or you just don't want to allow yourself to love someone because of whatever reason But then you realize that this person has your heart and you aren't going to let that get away. Basically, despite what you have been telling yourself, you come to find that love is better than being alone.
